What is House Music?

House music originated from Chicago clubs in the mid 80’s and is a mixture of disco, pop and synth combined with a 4/4 beat usually generated by a drum machine or other electronic means. ‘House’ music also commonly uses samples from jazz, blues, rock and synth tracks.
